TKB00017 Installing the Teamprise Plug-in Manually

Introduction

While Teamprise recommends using an update site to install the Teamprise Plug-in, in some cases it is necessary to install the Teamprise Plug-in for Eclipse manually.

These instructions are suitable for Eclipse and IDEs built on Eclipse except IBM Rational Application Developer 7.0 and MyEclipse 7.0. RAD 7 users should follow the instructions outlined in TKB00060: Installing Teamprise in RAD 7. MyEclipse 7 users should follow the instructions outlined in TKB00085: Installing Teamprise Plug-in for MyEclipse 7.0.

Downloading and Extracting the Teamprise Plug-in

1. Quit Eclipse

2. Download and Install the Teamprise Plug-in

The Teamprise Plug-in for Eclipse can be downloaded from the following link:

http://www.teamprise.com/download/download-plugin.html

Extract the .zip file into your Eclipse program directory. Examples:

C:\Program Files\Eclipse (For an Eclipse installation)
C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\SDP\6.0\eclipse (Default location for IBM RAD 6)

3. Restart Eclipse

Open Eclipse. You can confirm that the Teamprise Plugin is installed by opening the Help Menu: a "Teamprise Support" option should now exist.

The Teamprise license key must be entered before you begin using the product. Refer to the following KB article for details and instructions:
