TKB00020 Exporting Teamprise Diagnostic Information

Last updated 2006-04-11 12:02:34 UTC by Martin Woodward

Occasionally, it may be necessary to send Teamprise support diagnostic data to help identify any problems you may be facing. The easiest way to provide this information is in the form of a diagnostic data zip file.

To create a diagnostic zip file from one of the graphical clients, go to Help, Teamprise Support…

You will then be presented with the following dialog:

Teamprise Support Dialog

You can view the information in the dialog provided and this is an easy way to view log files or examine the directories used by Teamprise to save data on your system.

Pressing the “Export Diagnostic Data…” button will package up all the information accessible through the dialog into a zip compressed archive suitable for emailing to Teamprise support. The file is a standard zip compressed archive and you can open it in any archive management tool to view the contents before sending if you wish.

Note: Some corporate email gateways restrict the sending of zip files outside of the network, in which case you should consult with your network administrator on the best way to forward us the archive (often simply a matter of renaming the .zip extension to be something like teamprise-diag.itsazip).
