Teamprise client programs store cache information and settings in a directory specific to the computer account running Teamprise. The location of the file varies with platforms, and it is always inside a user's "home" directory. Teamprise Support may occasionally ask you to modify or send files from this directory to resolve an issue you are having. This article helps you find these files.
Cache and settings files are stored inside a base directory that is named and placed according to your operating system's conventions. Inside this base directory, naming conventions are the same across all platforms.
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Teamprise
%USERPROFILE% is a Windows environment variable that usually expands to something like C:\Documents and Settings\username (or C:\Users\username).
~/Library/Teamprise
~ is a Unix shell convention that means your home directory.
~/.teamprise
~ is a Unix shell convention that means your home directory.
All cache files and settings are separated by the major version of Teamprise that uses them, and a different subdirectory inside the base settings directory is maintained for each version of these files. Some old settings are automatically converted to new formats when a newer Teamprise client uses them; some settings are left alone. It is safe to delete settings directories for older versions (for instance, 1.0) after you have stopped using and uninstalled that version of the application.
